Big string on really small objects

I have an issue with really small object and PLA.
The print quality is set at 0.1mm and the general quality feels really good until i get into smaller pieces.

This is a print with the same settings but no small parts 😀 :

This is a part with smaller parts

I tried the whole supported range of temperature for my AMZ3D PLA.

These print were done at 200, 190 and 180. The issue remains the same.

In term of settings, i'm using the following:

Anyone has any idea of a solution?

Multiple options:
* raise retraction distance
* lower the flow rate
* Post process your object with a heat gun. Tiny hairs will disappear

Good tips, i increased the retraction distance to 4mm. It helped, but i'm unsure if its safe to push it higher.

Currently printing with a lower extrusion multiplier. We'll see how it goes 🙂

For the post process, i tried with a hair dryer without much success.

Re: Big string on really small objects

You can also use candle heat. Just make sure you're not placing it too long or to close over the candle.
