Replaceing Pinda with SuperPinda

I had a print fail that destroyed the pinda bracket and melted the cable. I managed to solder a new wire but my Pinda wont light up.

I was looking and pinda v1 and superpinda have the same wires and signals, but different connector. So I was thinking that you should be able to use the superpinda and just change the connector?

I have stopped using mesh bed-leveling some time ago because of the terrible drifting between prints. Might be firmware issue to. But need pinda for homing.

Supa pinda should work

Mk2 had thermal issues, with the Pinda,
I got into the habit of starting prints with the extruder about 60mm above the print bed, and the problem went away,

If the pinda was near the heatbed, the raised temperature  affected the pinda sensitivity,

my fault... misread the forum...
I was thinking Mk3 series printer. because of the mention of Supa Pinda...

Mk2 does have a different connector...

If you can graft the Sipa Pinda, onto the Mk2 Plug, You should be Ok!

RE:

No problem, I want to be sure. I replaced my last spare pinda sensor v1 (had two) last night and realized that Prusa is no longer selling them. I am going to try fixing the one I removed, but I want to get at least a new one to be secure.

That is the info that I was looking for!! I was suposing that but was not sure. Thanks @joantabb!

I did swap the old pinda for the new super pinda and it works great. Just pull out the leads from the connector and put them in the old one. You just need a small screwdriver or a needle.
