Removing Nozzle to Clean

After a big PET job my nozzle seems to have plugged with something that does not want to become dislodged by either heat or the acupuncture pin.

Is removing the nozzle as simple as putting a 3 mm socket or wrench on it? Does it need to be hot to remove?

Before you go tearing anything down, try doing some cold pulls. There may simply be something stuck inside that's too big to push out the nozzle opening. I've got notes on how I do cold pulls here, but there are plenty of guides available.

If you do decide to remove the nozzle (it's not a big deal), do be sure to brace the heatblock with a 16mm wrench as you loosen the nozzle with a 7mm socket. Also be sure to remove and replacement with the nozzle hot so parts are fully expanded. I find tightening the nozzle in place with 2 fingers is sufficient force to avoid damage.

Go slow and you should be fine.
