P.I.N.D.A seems to work but Z endstop doesn't change
Hi everyone,
I have my lovely MK2 for 1.5 years now and it works perfectly. Yesterday I reran the XYZ calibration due to PINDA height adjustment which passed perfectly and ran a four hour print (came out great again).
Today I wanted to run my next print and at the calibration routine at the beginning out of a sudden the Z endstop (PINDA) doesn't seem to work anymore ("Selftest error! Please check: Endstops - Wiring endstop Z"). I checked the wiring and everything seems to be fine. I wiggled with the cables but that doesn't have any effect. The red light on the PINDA is on and it goes off when I hold my screwdriver under it. However when I do this the value of the Z endstop in the calibration menu doesn't change. It remains to stay 1.
Has anybody experienced this as well? If so, what was the solution?
Currently my only solution would be to order a new PINDA 🙁
Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: P.I.N.D.A seems to work but Z endstop doesn't change
Thhe LED insicates that the pinda is seeing the metal object.
But the signal isnot getting to the einsy rambo board
This suggests that there is a break in the wiring between the pinda and the einsy
I had a similar problem and spoke to support on thechat option. On the eshop page
They sent a replacement pinda
Whilst i was waiting I pieced out the wires and made the existing pinda work again

Thanks Joan,
that's what I assumed, too.
I'll get in contact with the support. Let's see what we can do here.

Just talked to the supprt (thanks Martin!). I'll get a new PINDA. That is so awesome.
Just for everyone's information:
Warranty for factory built printers is 2 years. Warranty for kits is 2 years on all electronic parts

Checked the broken PINDA a little further: The black wire in the cable was broken. This seems to report the z axis end stop state to the rambo board...
