left and right z carriages won't stay level

Hello, 

sorry if I'm just doing something stupid, I love 3d printing, but I have never attempted to build my own printer
or anything so I often don't really know what things are called or how to fix problems, but I am good at following instructions, so hopefully someone can help me. ( also sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, It's my first post)

Ok, so yesterday the printer was working great, I just got into lithophanes and they were printing beautifully, so I know the printer was set up well at that point. I went to open my window and I stupidly rested my hand on the table where the 3d printer is and when I used it for leverage to open the window, it tipped and everything on the table slid off, including my 3d printer, thankfully I caught it before it actually fell but I knew I had to recalibrate and whatnot, so I ran through that, and everything seemed to be back on track. However when I went to print some things, on the first the top and bottom of a container were super tight, but I thought "hey that happens" so then I printed a second thing, and there are super obvious layer lines, or whatever they are called (not the layer lines you normally get in a print, but like super obvious lines) but primarily on one side of the fairly small print and only past after the first 1.5" printed fine. Tried adjusting temperature while it was printing but it didn't really change much. Once it's finished I think, that's odd, so I run calibration again switch filaments, fiddle with heat settings, and try printing the same thing, and I get the exact same lines on the second print as the first, then the pinda hit the print (about half finished) off the print bed. 
As I mentioned, I don't really know how to diagnose what's going on. I visually look at all the components of my printer and notice that when the left z carriage is all the way up, that silver screw makes contact with the orange printed part at the top, but on the right side there is a gap. I manually twist the screw style rod, and get the left and right even, but when I lower the Z then raise it again, they go right back to where they were. It's not a huge gap, but I imagine difference in height would cause some sort of problem.

Anyways if anyone 1.knows how to fix this and 2. if this is even the problem and if not what I should try to fix next. also sorry if this seem basic, I'm trying to learn but so far I just learn about what I'm currently trying to fix haha. Thank you
