Layer shift at around 80-90mm

I first thought I had a slipping belt or something, because I paused some prints, and resumed. I'd come back later and find a layer shift. I believe the issue of a layer shift happening if I pause and resume still remains, but I realized the real problem is happening at the same height each time. I've moved things a ton, and can't find any possible place there could be a bind or catch point.

Any ideas on what it might be?

Hey TexRob,

I started to have the same issue, but not at the same height and Now I can't get through a single print without having this same shift. I'll get a number of small shift, then I'll get a major one like you did, have you solved the problem yet. It's always in the same direction, I've checked belts, etc., but still no better?

Mine, MK3 is doing layer shifts as well and I double checked my belts too, everything is fine, but still layer shifts. Hopefully anyone has a solution for this! =(

Are you printing with Z-lift?

If not, do so (0.5mm should suffice). Also you could try slowing down the print.

Yes, but I tried slowing down the print and double checked all pulleys and belts again - this seems to help so far. Hopefully it will stay this way 🙂
