Layer Offset

Hello, I have a Prusa MK2S since August, and have been happily printing since then.
Last week I printed something and went perfect, as always.

But this week I'm finding that all my print attempts fail. It's like the layers aren't being printed on top of one another, but have an offset in the Y axis.
It happens with all the prints. I've tried re-slicing (Prusacontrol, Prusa Slic3r), printing from SD and from Octopi, switching filaments and even reusing a GCODE from a previous succesful print, to no avail.

Here is a photo of the results. I don't notice any strange sound or anything, if it may help.
When manually moving the Y axis I feel it's not totally smooth, there are a couple of places where it seems to offer a little more resistance.

Do you know what could be happening?

Thanks!

Re: Layer Offset

Are your Y-axis rods actually straight? Belt tight? What's causing the resistance? Linear bearings clamped too hard?

Re: Layer Offset

Well, nothing has change since last week, the printer is in the same place, the belt looks fine...
Could it be related to the bearings? I feel resistance at several places when I pull the bed (not when I push it), and there is indeed a different sound.
The feeling is similar to when you are using a shopping cart and one wheel is not aligned, that after a bit of pressure it strenghtens itself...

Maybe some dust caught in the bearings?

EDIT: I've been thinking about this, and it gets stranger. Each layer prints perfectly well, which I think would not be happening if there were any problem with the bearings. The only problem is that the layers print well, but are not aligned!
What could be causing this?

Thanks!

Re: Layer Offset

Is there some part of the motion where it's "catching" and losing stepper ticks?

Re: Layer Offset

It looks like it's solved!
I found this link: https://help.prusa3d.com/l/en/article/qiPUfukPVw-layer-shifting
And followed the instructions. Sure enough, the stepper motor screws seemed a bit loose.

I tightened them and started a print. So far, no issue!

Thanks for your help!
