Broken sensor temp cable Extruder
Hello,
I've had a print fail on my Mk2S and a big blob of PLA around the extruder. (and on the bed)
I raised the temperature to 240 to eliminate plastic accumulations more easily. But during the operation, the 2 tiny cable for the sensor temp did not resist. (They were completely wrapped in PLA)
So can i buy only the 2 tiny cable for replacement ? And maybe the Heating cartridge too ?
Or should I buy the entire extruder? (ref REP-E3D-V61 on the prusa shop : 80€ 🙁 )

You can purchase just a replacement thermistor and heater cartridge and replace those. A hot-end is not required, but some people like to purchase a complete assembly in order to have a drop-in spare on hand. It's your choice; the parts are available from the prusa shop or any number of local sellers that sell E3D v6 parts. (Just beware the stock (non-prusa) V6 hotend parts have shorter wires and there are also 12v and different wattage heaters available - make sure you get the right one that matches your machine)

Yes Thanks.
On the shop, i see the heater cartridge but not the thermistor mk2 (only for mk3) : https://shop.prusa3d.com/fr/30-mk2mk2s?id_category=30&n=38

This one says it's for 2S too
RE: Broken sensor temp cable Extruder
Thanks !
I had a doubt.
In the English version of the shop, it is well marked mk2 & mk3.
In the french version, it's marked only for the mk3. ^^
So i will order the 2 cables (heater cartridge and thermistor) to be calm.
That's fine, I finished printing last week the extruder parts to upgrade to version 2.5
I will enjoy it during disassembly to clean everything properly 😀
