Upgrading MK2S with leftover parts from MK3S to MK4

Hello everyone,

I have a 2 MK2S, one has a MMU1 attached to it sitting in my office at work. At home I upgraded my MK3S to a MK4 and was wondering about upgrading one of the MK2S to a MK3S.

I have the MK3S heatbed because I got a new one for the MK4 upgrade. I think I just need to get a 24V power supply, which work would buy so that's not an issue.

Is the MK2 Y-carriage the same as the MK3 Y-carriage? Am I missing anything?

the mk2 frame is smaller than the mk3S frame

there were alternative Z  axis top and bottom parts that can help they were made to restore  z height when using volcano...

you would also need a 24 volt power supply to get the best out of the parts

Welcome to the Frankenprusa brigade...

I forgot. The Y axis platform is different. The MK3 heated has different mountings  first time I created printed strips to support the MK3 heated.

Later I found a spare MK3 y platform... But I needed to adjust the frame corners a tiny bit. To match the MK3 bearing spacing...

Regards joan
