Nozzle temperature going crazy

Hello!

I had a print going earlier today and I got a thermal runaway error. I cleaned up the failed print/nozzle/etc and ran a self test. Everything came back successful. I restarted the print and about 25-30 min I heard the fans start turning on and off. I cancelled the print, waited for everything to cool down, then the print again. Same issue at seemingly the same exact spot. I also tried a print that completed successfully last night but I am still having the same issue. Does anybody have any suggestions?

You don't give us much to go on, but the first assumption (dangerous as those are) is a broken wire on the thermistor. Start a preheat and move the cable bundle from side to side and up and down to see if you trigger the problem. Yes - then unwrap your cables and track down the break in the cable.

Thanks for the advice! I tried moving the cable bundle and there was a little bit of fluctuation in the temp. Luckily, the MM1 upgrade came with a whole new hot end and I was able to swap the thermistor with the one from the old. Two successful print since then!
