XYZ Calibration Fails
I've been trying to get my printer to calibrate for days, but I can't even get it to act consistently. I change no settings, yet it might get further along in the calibration. I don't even know where to begin to fix it. The furthest it got was round 2, step 5, where it promptly pressed itself right into the heat bed, then threw an error. Another time it ground right into the headbed and began scratching back and forth, leaving a deep gash in it. It seems to work better when I put the sensor very close to the heat bed. Is that bad?
I've got the Prusa i3 MK2 with firmware 3.0.9 already installed on it.

The bottom of the probe needs to be about 0.75 to 1mm higher than the nozzle.

I haven't completed the first calibration, I don't think I can print anything yet...

You might attempt a factory reset on the printer, and then try xyz calibration again?

To reset your Prusa i3 MK2 to Factory Default Settings, do the following:
1. Power the printer on if it is not already. The printer must be powered on.
2. Press and hold the rotary selector.
3. Press and release the reset switch marked with X directly below the rotary selector
4. The printer will indicate a successful reset by beeping. You can then release the rotary selector and wait for the printer to boot up.
