Calibration
I have a mk2s when I go into wizard to go threw setup it fails on the 4 point calibration.it hits the bed and messes up the pei I've already changed it once but it is always in the same spot, can anyone help figure this out all my measurements are to the specs in the manual,is the probe to high or to low can't figure this out
Re: Calibration
First check the PINDA is actually working. Power up the printer and look at the PINDA from the top. Do you see an LED light in the ring around the top? Is it on? If yes, hold anything metal under the bottom of the probe - your screwdriver, a kitchen knife. When you put the metal under the probe does the LED go off? And come on again when you move the metal away?
Good, then your PINDA works.
Have you travelled the nozzle down to trap a piece of paper on the bed? While it is at the point where you feel drag when you move the paper set a credit card under the PINDA but on top of the paper. Slacken off the PINDA and press it down onto the credit card. Tighten up the pinda retainer and try calibration again.
Let us know how you get on.

Re: Calibration
Good day. I have problem with calibration. During start calibration for 4 point , head of extruder all time touch with table.
Re: Calibration
I thing maybe not properly working PINDA . In st-by mode when printer switch on, PINDA lighting red color, sensor about 8 cm from table. When I approaching stell plate to PINDA, red color is disappear. When we try to put mode AUTO HOME, extruder approaching to table and touch and bent table in first point.
Re: Calibration
Calibration has to be done in sequence - first selftest, then xyz calibration, then live z (first layer calibration). The printer does not know where the head is until you have run at least the first two steps successfully. Have you done this?

Re: Calibration
Hello,
I am little bit busy.
What happen during calibrtation.
First of all I am going to calibration mode and make selftest.
Selftest OK.
After I am going to Calibrate XYZ, first on display
showing information what we must calibrate Z up to the end.
I am moving up Z until when touch with upper side.
After this display showing me clean nozzle for calibration.
Ok, I am clean.
Next step: are left and right Z carriages all up ?
I am click YES.
And after start calibration point from 1 of 4.
During this calibration nozzle touch with table in first point , front point middle of the table, and not stopped start scratch table.
I try again start calibration, and again returned this problem.
Re: Calibration
OK - so PINDA is maybe too high or too low. How did you set it during assembly?
Need to lower the Z to about 1mm then slowly keep making lower with the Settings | Move Axis | Move Z and the knob on the LCD screen or if necessary Settings | Live adjust Z until the nozzle touches a piece of paper on the bed just enough so you feel it when you move the paper, not enough to stop the paper moving. Then use the supplied zip tie or a bank ATM card as a spacer on top of the paper and adjust the PINDA till it is touching the card.
If that is the setting distance you have used, then it's time to talk to Prusa chat on the shop page in the bottom right hand corner, and they should be able to send you out a replacement.
