Wanting to print 2 colours on the same base layer

Hi all, what I’m trying to do is print a base layer, then print lettering in one colour, then on the same layer at slightly different location print a shape in a different colour. Is there a way to do this with sequential prints? My current plan is to print the base (~3mm), manually change filament colour, print the lettering (~3mm), change colour again and print the shape (~3mm) What I hope to avoid is frequent colour changes at each layer of lettering and shape.
thanks for any insights

search for "manual Mmu"

Print face down.

Set background colour as filament one

Make letters two layers thick. Then when you print you will get one layer of background, two layers of letter colour and then go back to background to finish  the model

I try to make safe suggestions,You should understand the context and ensure you are happy that they are safe before attempting to apply my suggestions, what you do, is YOUR responsibility. Location Halifax UK
