How to print a cube with no walls?
Good day!
I am looking to print a large object to be assembled from multiple large prints. I would like to not waste filament on the sides that will be glued together. Is there a way to remove walls in the slicing process?
Thanks!
- If it wasn't clear what I am trying to do.. Can I print a cube where only the top and bottom of the cube have solid walls? If looking at the side of the cube you would see in the infill pattern.

Thanks for the reply!
Your answer makes total sense for my example, however I shouldn't have been so general. In my case I'm looking to make say 1 or 2 of the cubes walls have no shell. Is there a way to pick or select sides that are flat and indicate that those should not have a shell?
For this print I'm looking at 25 - 30 almost full platform builds which will then be glued together, not printing the shells on sides that will be glued together will greatly reduce the material needed 😉

How about using a modifier? If you check the blog there is an article about using mesh modifiers, you could create your cube and add a modifier
to the top that had the top and bottom shells set at 0?
If you are not sure send me a PM and I'll have a go at creating an example for you?
