Temperatur Drops Nozzle 25-40 degree - MK2.5
Hi folks,
my MK2.5 is having nozzle temperature drops random in prints resulting in a clogged nozzle(not everytime).
While printing PLA the nozzle temp drops around 20-25 degrees, when petg is running its up to 35-40 degrees.
Most time a clogged nozzle follows.
Nearly everything is swapped. Mainboard, whole Hotend, extruder, i think all cables. Only PSU is left.
Iam using octoprint with a 2.4amp psu. Tried different installations/firmwares aswell.
Silicon Sock was used, PID Tuning done. The last test without sock failed also.
Could the PSU be the problem? Loving upgrades, so is there a better option than original?
What do you suggest to record the measurement of the power while printing to not babysit the multimeter?
Hoping for some help.
Regards,
Florian

Try my nozzle fan shroud fix

You see the short up and then in my graphs above. I dont think this case is thermal runaway. Running a bondtech extruder with a modified fan shroud (same on my mk3 with no problems).

@florian-4
Wouldn't a power supply issue also affect the heat bed?
But a power supply wiring issue could, as there are two pairs of wires from the power supply, one pair for the heat bed and one pair for everything else. Possible poor connection on that pair?
Good luck
