High frequency tone during print?!

i've a little problem, for what i don't find the cause.
I upgraded to MK2.5 and the first print's were OK. Now i'm printing 2-3 objects in PETG. During print, after ~5-10 Minutes, i get a annoying high frequent tone (i don't know the correct word in english; maybe a whistle) and i don't know, what's the cause for that.
I stopped the two printers on the extruder, also i checked the axis - but the tone is consistent and don't change, even if for example a axis stops moving. Also i checked the Bed (if its a problem that occures when the bed uses high current/amper) and lowered the temps by 20° during print - but the tone doesn't change.
I made a video, were the tone is hearable. I think it comes out of the Rambo-Cover?

Sounds like a "beat frequency" since you can hear it only from the front.
Does this also occur outside the enclosure?
Do you use "silent mode" or normal/power?
Possibly the noise comes from the PSU. You plased it inside the enclosure and therefor it has difficulties in cooling.
Also i would recommend to put the electronis outside.

I'm using the PowerMode and the PSU is outside of the enclosure. I haven't tried to place the printer outside and check if the tone is still there. If i print PETG, i have the frontdoor opened - outside 25°, in the enclosure 29° (so we're not talking about printing ABS with the door closed were i reach ~45°).

I'm building electronics now for like 20 years or so and I get theses singing noises only when the electronics have been in higher temperature for a longer time. Normally its the coils. If heated up, the copper extends giving the windings room to oscillate resulting in this singing.
try a print in silent mode and check if there is any difference.

Within a week i want to build a new IKEA enclosure, so i can check the printer from all sides w/o the enclosure.
I will update this post as i have new informations.

that's the part cooling fan, pitch will vary with fan speed.....PETG uses slower fan speed...

Actual, the noise/tone is gone. I don't know why - we've actual lower temperatures (maybe 5° lower room temp.). Also, i've removed and re-assambled the plastic part, which cover's the nozzle and regulates the air flow. Also, i've printed much PETG with the door of my enclosure opened - maybe it's really a temperature problem.

that won't stop the noise, it' electrical, not mechanical. change the speed in the tune menu and see...

When printing PLA there is no problem. But I think when printing PLA the fan is working at a higher revolution speed as with PETG.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

i've also just upgraded to mk2.5, and yeah the whine is noticeable if the front fan is not at full speed (less than 255).
- i have not noticed this before so it may very well be that the the old extruder cooling fan was drowning out the noise? but dang the high pitched noise is so annoying i would have noticed it for sure!
- there might be some PWM/fan settings that are different between the mk2s/mk2.5 firmware?
- the fan bearings are kaput or are on its way out? doubt it... - fan sounds perfect at full tilt!
my best guess is its PWM noise from the front print fan. fixable in firmware hopefully?

The fan is unsuitable for PWM operation, because the integrated speed monitoring works only from a supply voltage of 3.3V. It is a 4th line to supply the speed monitoring necessary, as is the case with the CPU fan on the PC today (4 pin PWM fan). The noise occurs at the fan motor coil, it works like a speaker. The frequency of the driver voltage is 490Hz and their harmonics. A change in the drive frequency would immediately result in a speed change of the fan, as the reactance of the coil behaves frequency dependent.
Changes to the fan control must therefore be checked exactly because of the consequences.
The speed monitoring is currently not working at PWM <100%, <255, because the speed monitoring measures mainly the PWM fan voltage instead of the fan encoder frequency, so it is always OK. Just check the fan mechanically for testing, if you are printing PETG. No errors are shown if stopping the fan mechanical.
It's just the same to the MK3. Maybe there is a workaround with the next MK4 or Einsy board. I can not imagine a good software solution to fix this issue. Noctua currently sells no suitable pwm 4-pin radial fans, only axial fans. The use is only possible if we would rebuild the extruder again.
