Sock vs XL hot end orientation

On my XL, the hot end is rotated so the back is pretty close to the printed parts (on the left).

That seems like a concern on it's own, but it also means that you can't really put the sock on easily.

I twisted the hot end a bit to fit the sock on, but that doesn't seem quite like what would be intended.

Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, my hotend was also too close to the fan and the sock didn't fit. I loosened the bolt holding the hotend and rotated it about 5 degrees. Sock now fits properly. Several prints later and no issues to report.
