Prusa XL mid-print filament change
I'm in the middle of a large print on the Prusa XL, and the filament ran out overnight. The filament is stuck in the extruder, and it's giving me the message "Please remove filament from filament sensor. " I attempted to pull the filament scrap out of the extruder, but it broke off flush with the top of the extruder. I've tried pushing it through with an Allen wrench, but it won't move. The extruder is holding at 210 degrees.
I would really not have to throw away a 75%-complete print and start over. Is there any way to get the filament in or out without junking the print?
RE:
If by top of the extruder you mean the blue fitting, you can just unscrew it and do percussive things to it off the printer.
If you mean the top of the nextruder nozzle, just below the extruder gear, then you might be sol. I'm not sure if the whole loadcell thing lets you remove and reinstall nozzles mid print without having to calibrate.
