I am looking at the XL, and the E3D Tool Changer as a possible purchase, and am wondering if there are plans (that anyone may be aware of) to be able to swap tools out for pick and place and/or subtractive tools on the XL, similar to those abilities on the Tool Changer?

You mean automatic swapping outside of the 5 that would currently in it?  I doubt it that would be “5+“, but I think that there will be more tools, like maybe a cutter or laser engraver, or probably most likely, a paste extruder.  I think that we are all waiting to hear from what Prusa will do officially, but I would think that with a much larger customer base, there will be a lot more third-party, or most likely “PrusaPrint” options that are fairly supported.

Hopefully as we get further into Q2 and closer to these shipping, that we’ll see more of what Prusa has in store….

That is more what I was looking for, like a pick & place, rotary tool, etc 🙂 Looking forward to seeing what comes in the future.
