Will the Prusa XL's release pave the way for Voron printers to take the next step?

When Prusa debuts a new machine, the bar for hobbyist 3D printers is raised.

Removable magnetic build plates, auto bed-leveling, and silent movement were all introduced in the MK3.

The Mini provided more room for 32-bit boards, color displays, and USB interfaces.

Should we expect substantial Voron enhancements in 2023, with autonomous calibration, segmented heat bed, and more, with all of the new Prusa XL features?

I mean, it's difficult enough to look into the future of Prusa on their own forums. I'd probably take chatting about their competitors to... their competitor's forums or other forums/social media.
Naturally, I'd expect, any popular feature, regardless of developer, to be adopted by the wider community.

It's difficult though... Some competitor forum will tell someone the opposite!

Speculation can be done anywhere, and when you are the industry leader and literally write the book on open specification printers and are copied EVERYWHERE, and communicate the XL will have open data as well, you can reasonably expect people to talk about various competitors, compare and contrast against them, and investigate the "What if's" of them.

The fact someone can even post such things on the Prusa forum without Prusa mediating the posts and preventing people from discussing such, speaks volumes to the type of company we have here!  There is literally a competitor of the MMU2 practically advertising on the forum (Replying to a thread to a possible customer to go buy Mosaic product!) and that post is still there!  (That really is a bit bold).

If there is any place to talk about the implementation of Prusa's open standards in the industry, it seems encouraged, and not inappropriate, here.

@fujitora41  -  I agree, Prusa is "Raising the bar" on hobbiest printers (and even farm printers) on a regular basis, and the XL does seem like a "big leap", especially with all the disgust there seems to be about E3D licensing for their hotends.  I was originally worried that this is a new extruder design, but now feel very good about it, especially with it being so open.

EVERY printer should have flex plates!  After having them, I will never go to anything else 🙂 Unless, maybe, I'm printing a car on a industrial printer LOL, anyway, yes... They push the industry.  I don't know anything about Voron, but as i understand it they are simply an open-source community, not a company that sells stuff themselves - or... are they?  Maybe they will implement some of the new standards created from Prusa into their open specifical products... Perhaps a Voron 2.5-something 🙂 Only time will tell (and .... contributors to that group being motivated too)... There is no reason they cannot add aspects of Prusa's technology to their future designs.
