I’m not sure. But I was far from optimized.
Running 4.7.2 firmware, not the most recent with Alpha and tweaks.
Running .6 not .7 on Prusaslicer
With out the pins on the 5th extruder, I’m not sure the calibration for the other 4 were retained. (I’d run the head calibration and when it got to the fifth, it detected no pins and would red screen and reboot. I disabled (unplugged) the fifth extruder and it just calibrated the first four)
The print is odd in that it so oddly shaped that the first layer is all PLA, and the add on layers of PETG didn’t form well. This was also because the first layer of PETG is just a small spot.
So hopefully between firmware, hardware calibration, and better part layout/design It will print better.
The speed two tone bench in PLA is printing now. Had a ‘goober’ form on the purge tower, the head hit it and recalibrated at the front. I was able to take some pliers and get the still warm goober off with out removing the tower. THe printer came back and is finishing printing.
The two-color benchy on the included drive printed OK after the goober issue. Not the best looking print, but it’s pretty good for the speed and size.

Just got an email from DHL that my printer has been scheduled for pickup. Prusa's site is still showing it as "In Progress". I had put my pre-order in Nov. 19 9AM Prauge time for a 2H unit, but when they did the bulk conversion 2 weeks ago I decided to upgrade to the 5H unit since I didn't want to wait and see when upgrade kits would be available. My updated timeline for the 5 toolhead:
- order placed: 2021-11-29
- email received: 2023-10-23
- order completed/finalised: 2023-10-25
- wiretransfer: 2023-10-25
- payment confirmed: 2023-10-27
- shipping planned for week 48: 2023-11-09
And now we wait a tiny bit more....

Here's my slightly unusual timeline and process: Original preorder was day 1. Completion invitation early October. Needed to pay in a different currency to the preorder and provide VAT registration, and also wanted to wait a bit before completing as my workspace was being renovated. Was given the November 6th completion deadline following the announcement. Under guidance from customer services, cancelled the original preorder and made a new order with the different currency and VAT registration (late October). I also requested delivery on or after 15th November to suit completion of my workspace renovation. The preorder priority was applied to the new order after a couple of days, and I got a new completion invitation. While it was a bit nerve-wracking to cancel and replace the preorder, everything went smoothly, and the machine shipped today, which is perfect timing for me. Thanks Prusa!

I am in a similar boat as you. I didn't provide VAT number when I made the purchase. Now I have it and want to have my invoice made without VAT.
I was told that I had to do what you mentioned. My question is did you pay twice for your XL? And got one refund?

I never completed the original preorder - it was cancelled before completing it, so I just got the deposit refunded. I actually made the new order first. So for me the steps went:
- Discuss everything with customer services (CS).
- Order new XL just like anyone would, must pay deposit.
- Cancel the original incomplete preorder, deposit is refunded.
- Tell CS the new order number.
- Wait a day or two, get completion invitation for the new order.
- Complete the new order with full payment.

Just got the DHL Express notification that my XL is on its way 😀
Promised shipping date was beginning of week 47 (starting November 20th). So Prusa is really on its way and seems to able to fulfil the promised shipping date.

No, you can choose to fulfill your order, which you changed already, which Prusa accepted even though it is challenging to them. If you choose to, your order ship according to the queue.

For those vacillating on finalizing your early order: If you’re worried about the print quality reported by some reviewers, take those reviews with a grain of salt. I waited a few weeks before finalizing my order but I’m totally satisfied with what I’m getting after a few days of printing. Took me about 8 hours to put together a two-tool head semi-assembled XL, but I was in no rush. Fired up fine, passed all the alignment processes the first time.

You’re lucky. I got the same email and my order is still showing “new” although this could be because I loaded up on filaments and other goodies also.
Hopefully I get that shipment notice soon and I’m hoping not many others are in my same boat as I’m sure patience is wearing thin.
