Shimpent (not) included?...

I just received a shipment from Prusa with some parts.

The price *included* 30$ shipment fees which I paid to Prusa during my payment process.

Prusa, on their sole discretion, chosed Fedex to ship those parts. I am not a customer of Fedex by any mean, Prusa are the customers.

Now Fedex are asking me 35$ MORE for their services (NOT tax... the tax is amother thing).

So I'm paying 65$ for shipment of few small parts.

Prusa promised that shipment is included and charged 30$ for this shipment.

I think they should refund me with the additional 35$ Fedex is charging me in order to get my goods.

I can't find Prusa support.

What do you say?

Avi

Arbitrary handling fees happen with all carriers if you're outside europe. It's annoying as f*. I just paid 25CHF customs handling fee to DHL on a tax- & customs-free (!) 35CHF package, which is their minimum fee (or 3% of value, whichever is higher, as if the value had anything to do with their actual effort). They told me over the phone the charge is for confirming that there is nothing to be paid or done. In other words it's a scam.
I don't think there is much that PR can do about it, since you're the one importing the goods. As much as I like their filament, the only thing I would still order from Prusa directly are printers, because there is no other option. They really should have local distributors at this point, at least in the bigger countries.

RE:

If they sell the goods including shipment and they don't allow me to choose the carrier, they should at least let me know in advance that I should pay, not only the tax but also to the carrier for the shipment. It doesnt happen with Amazon. Amazon takes care of their custoners and everything is included, they even estimate the tax and refund you if it becones less. I don't think I should pay 65$ shipment for few small parts (not including tax!!) or at least they should let me know in advance.
