Sequential multi coloured printing?

I have a MK3S+MMU2S and know that a limitation of printing multiple objects with different colours is they have to be done layer by layer.

I hope the XL will be able to print objects sequentially in different colours.  With the larger print bed and efficiency of a tool changer it could be a killer productivity feature for me.  In fact it would justify my £3k spend! 😀

Have you looked at Print Settings > Output options > sequential printing?

Yes I have, even tried some tests with the MMU.  You can setup a sequential multi colour print but without a wipe tower.  This leads to the issue that you do not have filament flow between filament changes.

Regardless, my question is in regards to the XL which of course is an unknown currently but I enjoy speculating and I don't see a reason why sequential printing with a tool changer couldn't be done as all you need do is prime each tool at the appropriate time.

Try adding a small, one layer, wipe-pad object between prints.

I don't have an XL yet......

Sorry, but I think you're missing the point of my thread.
