RE: Under Extrusion and Filament Getting Stuck (Clicking Noise) on all 3 XLs

I'm saying this more to highlight that this is not something affecting all XLs, not to offer any help (I wish I could),but I'm not seeing this on my XL. I've been using it a lot more than I expected (considering I bought it for its multi tool head ability) and I've been quite positively surprised. No clogs with PETG, with 0.6 or 0.4 nozzles. The main problem I've had (aside from the many problems with wireless or wired data transfer) was filament stuck in the large PTFE feeder tube when I didn't remove the PETG right away (not an issue with PLA)

RE:

hi, i am experiencing a similar problem when working with PLA+ (dissolvable filament). i'm just wondering if anyone has had this problem and found a way to solve it. Should I go the same route as PETG and turn off the fan or is it a different problem.

I think I might have found a solution. I was having the same issue when I was printing TPU. The filament was extruding from the nozzle, but it seemed like it was being pressed in at a higher rate than the nozzle would extrude. Having nowhere to go, the filament just went into the gear. I slowed down the pushing of the filament by reducing the extruder flow percentage. This way, the filament was pushed in at just the right speed as needed. Hope this helps!

Sorry, I think I was wrong about that (my previous post). A real fix that came for me was when I loosened the idler screws significantly. It is shown in the video I am linking, but it took some more loosening then shown.
