RE: Started happening with Input Shaping

Did one test print yesterday too, and with the "old" 20mm/s it stuck to the print plate. I need to do some more testing on this, but makes me wonder anyhow if I am a minority or if there are more out there having the issue?

Perhaps this is also the reason some want to lower the first layer z-offset manually, or firmware 5 is not used that much now, or people (as seen in the forum too) are not getting the difference in prusaslicer profiles and even with firmware 5 they use the old profiles 😉 instead of the new ones.

On to more testing anyhow 😀

RE: Started happening with Input Shaping

I am having the same issue with PETG and PLA after doing the input shaper upgrade. It doesn't generally affect my first layer, but my prints are now warping and popping off about half way through the printing process. I have been printing with my MK4 for a few months, and I have not had a single adhesion issue or failed print, but I have not had a successful print since upgrading.

The problem continues to happen even when creating a gcode without input shaper.

I'm planning on flashing back to my previous version to see if it helps while the kinks get worked out.

40mm/s speed works fine usually, it is actually still quite conservative. Slow 20mm/s is more safe in case there are other issues involved, like adhesion issues due to improperly cleaned bed, etc.

RE: Started happening with Input Shaping

I cleaned my bed with soap, IPA and whatsoever 😉 but as soon as I go to the 40mm/s even the first layer looks great and perfect the same happens what @briatica said. The prints start warping and popping of the sheet during the print. Quite often happening around the 2 cm mark.

Anyhow, I had a Mini before and I did not have the problems in 3 years (except I did not clean properly, so I should by now know hot this works) also the MK4 worked fine from the beginning and the problem occurred with the new firmware. The fix for now is going slow with the first layer and all is good.

But perhaps I learn something after some years into printing and figure out that I really cleaned my bed incorrectly. Who knows, but happening on PLA on Steel Sheet as well as with PETG on Satin Sheet - this makes me wonder if I am not the problem 😀

RE: Started happening with Input Shaping

This went off the rails and in a total different direction from my initial post. End results are that after the firmware upgrade to the latest stable release of 5.0 the issue that I was having was related to a z offset bug. It is no longer an issue for me. The other issues reported in this post appear to be mostly related to pure adhesion issues.
