RE: Reset Randoms

I already have - see my previous post pointing to the Github bug I've raised.

RE: Reset Randoms

So, I've got a new xbuddy board installed with 4.7.1 preinstalled. So far the problem continues. I sliced an object with Marlin legacy g-code flavour to see if something changes and first print directly from usb stick was finished ok (this particular object never finished before). So I moved on to Octoprint with the same g-code file and even this second print was finished fine. Then I tried to print it again just to verify if it was just luck or it was really g-code related bug. And guess what? Restarted after a hour or so. I printed some other objects without any problems before and after, so I guess there is some special move or g-code command which results in restarting the system board. The weird part is that this problem object failed each time at different layer, you cannot find one particular command that causing the problem. I've sent g-code file to Prusa for investigating.

Today when I woke up and came back to my overnight print I also noticed that I'm part of the club now. It was an ~8h print and it stopped at approx 4 or 5h printtime. Apparently the printer just reset itself quietly. No crashdump or anything.

Sorry to hear it, there is apparently something rotten and they cannot figure it out...Maybe it doesn't have to do with firmware at all?

RE: Reset Randoms

I recently had this happen to me. Luckily, the reboot happens early and not midway. It always happens in the same spot too. Instead of slicing for IS, I have to reslice in normal MK4 and it prints fine. At first, I thought maybe it was the USB (I'm not using the Prusa one but using my own SanDisk) but if the IS is rebooting and the resliced works and both on the same USB drive, its not USB.

I did a chat with Prusa and the rep said to factory reset the printer. I haven't done it yet as I have a feeling its the firmware.

The is reads off the usb stick much faster so there is a slight chance usb

Please help me out by downloading a model it's free and easy but really helps me out https://www.printables.com/@Hello_474427/models
