Any recent experiences with 0.6mm nozzle

I'm looking for recent experiences with a 0.6mm nozzle and input shaper. Specifically, is it faster than 0.4? When the input shaper first came out, several people reported that it was no faster, possibly because the profiles had not been tuned enough and possibly because the volumetric flow rate is limiting the speed. This is for printing large objects where other factors such as the minimum layer time do not kick in.

RE: Any recent experiences with 0.6mm nozzle

I've got a 0.6, there are IS profiles for it and it can go quite fast. I don't run a 0.4 nozzle at all, so I have no direct comparisons. However, very simply, I can print a 0.32mm layer height, which means less layers, which means less print time in general. But that also assumes you don't care about the detail loss of the larger layer size.

If you want, you can go into PrusaSlicer, load up the the 0.6 and 0.8 nozzle profiles and slice your object of choice. The time estimates are fairly spot on, in my experience. That should tell you very quickly if your prints will benefit from 0.6 or not, and by how much.
