Which heatbeds do I have?

Hello,

The title may sound strange, but the heatbeds seem to have all sorts of funny names so I can't really tell them apart. I've bought the Mini+ with the option of two different heatbeds. There only seems to be one such option in the shop, so I hope everyone selecting that option gets the same articles. See attached photos of the two package labels. (Oh, this forum seems to support only one attachment, so I'll add two more replies later.)

The attached heatbed (photo in this post) is from the "MINI PEI" package, I haven't unpacked the "MINI TXT" yet.

This guide suggests different heatbed types for PLA or PETG: https://help.prusa3d.com/de/materials

But it has two different "PEI" variants and mine aren't labelled sufficiently.

Until now I've only printed PLA (Prusament) and it turned out really well (with 210 instead of 215 °C). Today was my first small PETG print (also Prusament). It went okay, maybe needs some fine-tuning, but it stuck really hard to the heatbed. I could get it off (after cooldown) using a slightly sharp plastic ruler and the heatbed only has a few minor marks (had that with PLA before, it should go away again) but otherwise looks intact. I'm wondering if I'm using the correct one for this material.

I'm not interested in fiddling around with glue sticks, they're said to be a total mess. Other things to try include a higher Z-offset (how much?), a lower first-level heatbed temperature, applying IPA to release, a heat/cooldown cycle, putting in the freezer, or a (still wet or dried) layer of glass cleaner immediately before printing.

As Neophyl wrote, just unpack them, as soon as you have them in your hands, it's not that difficult. Here you can see the 3 sheets: https://help.prusa3d.com/article/flexible-steel-sheets_2195?_ga=2.220907422.786939344.1664706765-1284231131.1648643416

And here you see what to print on them and where to use release agents: https://help.prusa3d.com/materials

Some things got lost in translation, shit happens. To clear things up, all sheets are PEI (acronym for polyetherimide) which is what the sticker on the metal sheet is made of. They come in three surface variants: smooth, textured and satin.

And, yes, correct, you have the smooth and the textured one. And, yes, it's kind of stupid to label the smooth PEI "PEI" not "smooth PEI"...

And the other (unpacked) one.

(Sorry, I meant "unopened" in my last post. Can't edit that anymore.)

Pei is the smooth one, the second one with txt is short for textured.  Both are actually PEI, one is a smooth sticker sheet the texttured is powder coated onto the steel base layer.

Its REALLY obvious once you open them.

So I have these: "PEI", "TXT"

The materials documentation mentions these:

German: "powder-coated", "smooth PEI", "satin PEI"

English: "powder-coated", "smooth PEI", "satin" (not PEI)

I understood that "TXT"/textured means "powder-coated". I guess that "PEI" means "smooth PEI". So I have these two and do not have the "satin (PEI)", is that correct? Why are there so many different names for these things? How am I supposed to know which means which? I haven't built these things, I'm just the user.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
