Printing error

I tried to print this file and when sliced the middle section circled goes missing. Below is the original file and that’s how it should be. when import it the the slicer preview looks perfect. Once sliced that part goes missing. gcode file prints perfect upto that point and then crashes. im new to this and help would be much appreciated. here is the link to the file.

RE: Printing error

If you are using windows, When you loaded the file, did you notice an Orange Triangle in the right hand panel?

this indicates Errors in the STL, if you click on the Triangle, the file should be fixed for you, in NetFabb!  and should then slice as expected

RE: Printing error

The fact that there's no actual picture of the printed model is a dead give away. It's a disease in Thingiverse. Too many crap models that some kid produced for a design class but never actually printed. I just stay away from everything that doesn't have a picture to proof it's printable. Netfabb may fix it, or using Detect thin walls may help. But stay away from this junk.

RE: Printing error

I repaired the .stl in Meshmixer and it seems to correct that issue.

RE: Printing error

I've seen MANY models from Thingiverse which have corrupt .stl files.

Some have been trivial to correct, but some have been very challenging.
