PLA/PETG suitable for MRI
Dear Community,
I am trying to print a cradle/vial-holder for MRI Research. Unfortunately I did not find any information on the kind of pigment/particles in the Prusament PLA and PETG filaments.
As it is MRI, all stuff containing iron has to be avoided. The less pigment the better. Collegues told me like "the whiter the better"
I thougth about PLA transparent Filament.... but whatis the difference between normal white and vanilla white?
Does anyone have experience or a reccomendation?

You can get clear PETG. I would start from there. That has no pigment at all.
How about if you contact Prusa directly? I expect they will not share proprietary information about filament, but they have been very supportive of the medical community during Covid. If you tell them what you want to do, maybe they can confirm which filaments do not contain Iron.

Do not use white - it contains more pigment than almost all other colours often including zinc and titanium.
Use either 'Natural' or 'Clear' which usually contain none and which are often the easiest to print.

Indeed the vanilla white printed holder (i tried it today) performed even worse..
So writing an Email to Prusa and ordering a clear PLA or PETG will be the next step.
If i get an answer fro Prusa, I'll post it here!

Where are you located? The most cost effective shipping to the US is to order two rolls and ship the cheapest way. You can add some small items too and the shipping cost stays the same.
There are other manufacturers of clear PETG. I just suggested contacting Prusa because of their extensive support.
