Overture PETG on Prusa Mini

I mostly print in Overture PLA using the profile shipped with the PrusaSlicer latest version, but have a transparent Overture PETG I would really like to work. Any thoughts on what could cause the problems in the photos? Running using the default "Generic PETG" profile from Prusa, with temps a little higher (245-250 IIRC), tried lower and it was worse. I can't work out what could cause it to "catch" like that -- is this the filament lifting off? This is an mini+ with latest firmware and the newer printer profiles. All thoughts welcome!

I've printed plenty of overture PETG in my Minis so that's not a problem. But PETG may need a bit of adjustment to your Live Z. I'd do a first layer calibration with something like this https://www.printables.com/model/105404-calibration-strip-for-simple-live-zfirst-layer-cal to optimize things for PETG.

I agree with fuchar, I use Overture PETG on all my printers, I currently have transparent on my Mini right now and I've always been happy with it.  Your z-offset looks a touch high, but when I see lifting like that I also suspect the cleanliness of my bed.

So, after much experimentation, it seems the only way I can get it to print petg well is to run at 50-70% speed (that is, tune the printing speed down from the printer menu during printing).  I'm running default speeds for the profiles so not trying to go especially fast, it's now glacially slow but the print results are good.

FYI, the z offsets were actually pretty much perfect, hard to see with transparent material but I swapped to black petg and they are pretty much spot on, running a level test.

I think I can live with slower but "just works" (that's why I bought a Prusa after all...)

I had such issues with Devil Design PETG (transparent) on my Prusa Mini, apparently  even though I used gloves some stains were on the print bed and this can cause bad adhesion.
I guess using gloves + touching face/hair or other long term usage ended in transferring some of those to the print bed. So remember to clean up your tools as you clean up your print bed.

I'll also note that you really shouldn't use the PEI sheet for PETG.  It adheres really well and you could damage your PEI sheet.  Satin is a better option.

If you're slowing down the extrusion speed then you may have a clog in your nozzle.  The PTFE tube in the hot end of the Mini is known to shrink over time especially with higher temperature filaments like PETG.   Some of us have upgraded our Mini's to use the Bondtech heat breaks which raise where the PTFE tube contacts the heat break so that junction remains cooler and allows the PTFE tube to have a longer lifespan.  I upgraded mine when I proved unsuccessful at doing cold pulls to get the filament out of my stock heat break after my tube shrunk.  So far my printer is going strong, but I haven't printed with it as extensively as I did with the stock one, so it's a guarded win.
