Features on one side of the wall appear as artifacts on the other side

Hey People,

I've designed and printed a modular bathroom shelving on the Mini. To save some time I switched for a 0.6 mm noozle. However, the print quality is subpar. Features on one side of the wall appear as artifacts on the other side. We are talking about 1.3 mm thick (2 perimeters) walls, yet I want to get rid of the artifacts. One side of the walls are supposed to be flat without any pattern on it. Please see attached photos and find the .stl .3mf file attached. What can I do? I would appreciate your help.

Update: Printing the external perimeters first helps a bit. The front face looks much better, but the back is still ugly.

I have the same problem (and a slew of others) with the stock .4mm nozzle:

Let me know if you figure out a solution.  Not sure if it's an issue with my printer or in the slicer settings.  But I've printed these models on other printers with no issues at all.

Have you tried adding one or two more perimeters?

@tex

How old is your nozzle - or have you been printing abrasive filaments?

Whole printer is brand new, including the nozzle.  Haven't run anything other than PLA/petg/asa through it.  This is how it printed right out of the box.

Well, I haven't tried, the idea is using as small amount of filament as possible, and with 2 perimeters the structure is already pretty solid, so if possible I'd like to avoid that.

That's not something you can avoid, unless you add more perimenters. Smaller nozzle and more perimeters, to keep the overall filament usage the same, should work, too.

Uneven extrusion and stringing to that degree has me stumped, I've only seen similar with a worn nozzle.  I can only suggest you go to default settings and check with a known file.

I presume you printed some of the Prusa provided gcodes - did they come out OK?

Sorry not to be of more help. Cheerio,

Tell me about it.  I've reached out to support but am still waiting to hear back.

Here are some prints using the benchy gcode that came on the usb stick:

The middle one is brand new Prusament and looks the best, but I still feel like my printer is underperforming.

I don't mean to derail this thread though.   🙂
