Cracks in Layers
hi guys,
i get those strange cracks in the surface every now and then. The filament is dried in the oven to make sure it‘s dry.
I should add that those cracks are More or less reproducable, so they appear basically at the same location. It’s not the seam (seam is in the back of the Print)
RE: Cracks in Layers
What does the first layer look like?
I would suspect the extruder, there is a section in this document on extruder maintenance/adjustment.

@clarmrrsn
first Layer has no cracks it only Happens on walls and infill.

What are your rods, bearings and belts like
Belt tension ok? Rods and bearings lubricated?

What filament is this? I am seeing similar issues, but only with one filament type (Overture Matte PLA).
RE: Cracks in Layers
I recently checked the belts and rods. All lubricated too.
it basically happens with every filament, strange enough: Matte colored filament (e.g eco filament, matte black) has not that many cracks.
RE: Cracks in Layers
I wonder if maybe it is under-extrusion and doing a standard extruder calibration would help: https://all3dp.com/2/extruder-calibration-6-easy-steps-2/
I only recently received my Prusa Mini, so I am not sure if it has built-in tools to help with this type of calibration.
