Can I use Soluble Support Material with the Mini+

Looking for a way to print more complex objects like https://www.stlfinder.com/model/lambretta-scooter-model-3ETThlR5/2707371/

It is possible but not easy. You will find the basics in these threads:

https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/prusaslicer/manual-multicolor/

https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk3s-mk3-how-do-i-print-this-printing-help/acting-as-my-own-mmu

BUT

For that particular model which appears symmetrical; I would cut it in half lengthways, print both sides flat with minimal support and glue together before painting.

Cheerio,

Material change works well, but for a model like that there is not one layer where you can change, so it would be impractical. @Diem's suggestion is a good one. There are many models that are just not designed for FDM printing. You often can look at them and find a flat plane through them, cut them into two pieces, and get two easy to print pieces instead of one impossible to print piece.

Mark

Thanks.  That model is a bad example - splitting it is better.  but thanks for the pointers to materials changing.
