All metal hotend for PETG?
I’m ordering a Mini+ over Black Friday and want to start printing PETG, but have seen some warnings about printing too hot with a PTFE lined hotend. Do I need to get an all metal hotend to safely print PETG, or is the stock nozzle safe?

Of course, this being the internet, you'll get different opinions on that but I'd say, you're fine. Full disclosure: My Minis have Dragon hotends but before I switched over I never experienced any issues printing PETG with the stock hotend.

I have stock hotends on my mini (i do have the bondtech extruder tho).
I have not had any problems, aside from the usual petg-related issues.
Using both prusament and local cheap petg rolls.
Prusa Mini+ kit. BondTech extruder. FW 5.1.2
Prusa MK3S+ kit. Stock. FW 3.11.0
Prusa MK3S+, used. Stock. FW 3.13.3

I have a bone stock Mini with the original hot end (assembled per the latest instructions, which have changed since the first Minis) and original extruder. PETG works fine. If you want to print something like PC Blend, the PTFE tube may not last that long. Order extra PTFE tubes. They are easy to change.

Thanks for the quick replies. I think I'll stick with the stock hotend for now, but I may upgrade to the Bondtech heat-break in the future, since it keeps the PTFE tube further from the nozzle/heat-block.
