After 1h mid-print suddenly burn and spaghetti

Hi.

The issue: after ~1h (+-10min) of my 1h20min print with PLA on smooth sheet with sunlu I keep getting a burned bit, spaghetti then pull off of the model (I manually abort then). I have printed the nearly identical part preciously without this issue with the same filament.

In detail:

I just got my PrusaMini and have eagerly been printing many parts already (successfully; benchy with prusament PLA showed no issues also). Now I started printing the Base for the mini including the inserts. All inserts turned out OK(some random bubbles along the sides and some stringing but manageable) with sunlu PLA green/turquoise on standard PLA settings on smooth print sheet. I then noticed that the USB insert does not fit my cable, so remodelled to fit (only added a tighter fit at the first 4mm of the print. Started printing and after 1h of all going well a poop appears after a greyish burn mark (20min print left), print head gets caught in it and kicks the model over.

I double checked first layer calibration- all fine. I cleaned the nozzle. Tried again. Same thing at about 1h mark. I read up on it, increases bed temperature by 5C and nozzle lowered to 210C. Same thing again. Switched to eSUN PLA white. Same thing with same settings.

It's really weird as I could basically print the same part (just with too large  USB whole) with sunlu fine. I don't think adhesion makes a big difference, since it just burns after 50ish min and creates a massive bump after it, which is the real concern. But I'm also new to this, so happy to learn more! Curious to hear your ideas.

Sudden issues: update comparison parts

Here the different parts (another failure I already threw out). Oh and I guess I added extra screw holes. But don't think that is an issue either(?)

SOLVED: Feels a little silly - but yes indeed it was a problem to do with adhesion (I quickly rinsed the bed with a bit of soapy water; and also printed on a different location on the print bed). I guess, in my case I had a detachment, which only caused a non-visible shift, large enough for the layers to not sit on top of each other, and then the mess started. Not sure where the burn comes from, but now all gone! (Hope this will at least help other Newbies 🙂 )

Often when a narrow print comes adrift the Print tilts, and effectively becomes artificially taller, which causes the nozzle to impress itself on the corner of the model. often the print then falls off the model and spaghetti begins....

Soap and water is MY go to, for surface preparation on the build plate...
