.20 Nozzles
I have a Mini acquired April of 2020 and a Mini+ acquired in Feb 2021. Both have performed well and have printed for many dozens, if not hundreds of hours, I use both PLA and PETG in my work. Recently, I decided that I just needed more detail in my parts, so I purchased .20 nozzles. The new nozzles work fine in the MINI+, and I got a subsequent improvement in fine detail. The MINI, however, does not seem to adapt to the .20 nozzles and will not extrude evenly. Could it be that the older printer has worn gears that won't push the filament through the smaller aperture? If, not does anyone have other ideas?
(Of course, I changed the nozzle size in the Slicer program).
RE: .20 Nozzles
probably the smaller the nozzle lesser the tolerances.
Check the status of all ptfe tubes, renew the thermal paste for heatbreak-thermistor and heater cartridge then and try a temp tower, the old heatblock itself may have a different thermal behavior.
Of course the extruder gears as well as the tensioner screw must be clean and well adjusted
