Z-axis jammed on most of its range of motion
Hi everyone.
I've had my Mini+ for around a month now, and it has been working well. I recently had to re-mount my x-axis to the z-carriage, but after re-mounting, the carriage has had trouble moving. When instructed to move, the z-motor will make a grinding/vibrating noise and move very little. The axis moves freely on some small ranges (usually 1-2mm). I've tried mounting the x-axis again and checking the bearings, but neither fixed the issue. I've also checked to see if the z-screw is grinding its mount, but that doesn't seem to be the case either.
I'm stumped here, any help is greatly appreciated!

Sounds like the trapezoidal nut is over tightened. Can you freely rotate the Z lead screw with the printer off?

Hey, thanks a ton! Loosening the trapezoidal nut screws by about half a rotation each fixed it. Ironically, I was worried that the trapezoidal nut might be too loose. Really appreciate the help!

Glad that worked. That part is counter-intuitive; they need to be just barely tight enough to keep the X axis from rattling, but no more.
