X axis jammed after spaghetti
Newbie here, and I need help with my Mini and my first big learning experience. I came in to find this (massive shift, and now squirting into the rear corner), and now the X Axis is stuck. I cannot move it by hand, it fails on the self test. I cleaned the glob off, and the filament purges correctly. I just can't move or get the X axis to move. Where do I start?? WIth thanks!

Hi,
There could be the possebility there is some filament in the left gear of the belt. Maybe that's blocking movement.

Thank you. Would that be at the small end of the arm, or in the motor, or do I need to remove the hot end? Thank you for your patience with my questions.

Could be on both sides, removing the hotend is i think not needed, can you move the head by hand?

No, I cannot move it by hand, even when turned off. It moves about a millimeter or two in either direction and then stops. This is true whether I am trying to move it by hand (printer turned off), or using the "move axis" command. When trying by hand, it feels as if it has hit a hard stop. Not that it needs a lot of pressure to move, but that something is stopping it from moving further. Thanks!

i have loosened off the x-axis end cap and am able to slip the belt and move the hot end or if the way.
It seems that the bearing in the orange end cap doesn't turn. I cannot figure out how to remove it, though, to test and clean it.

As said above check if some "spaghetti" are blocking in someway the wheels (check both sides), check also where the belt pass within the XCarriage.
If everything is clean I think You have a broken bearing or (hopefully not) the X motor melt, You can only know by removing the belt on XCarriage and try to move the carriage, if free is something on the motor if locked is one of the bearings.
If I were You I'd ask Prusa support for advises on how to fix it.

OK, latest update: it seems the bearing will turn, though it seems that it should turn more freely. I have determined that I think the motor itself is turning, and the belt is slipping on the motor gear. Something is stopping the belt from moving, but I cannot find anything that could cause that. Any idea of what to look at next would be appreciated.
Also I'd like to take the orange end-cap off to see if there is something stuck inside (though I can see through it and push a toothpick through). Is there a way to remove this? I cannot get the bearing free of the cap, even with all screws removed.

I've figured it out. Sadly, the problem is in the motor. I'll be seeking a replacement.
