X-axis alignment issue
I purchased a new mini (prebuilt, because of lead time). I always prefer to build myself so that when problems arise, I have an idea of how to resolve it. Well… the x-axis on this printer is wildly skewed and I cannot seem to determine the cause.
When the nozzle is sitting on the bed closest to the z-axis extrusion, and I slide the hot-end end to the outside of the print-bed (away from the z-axis extrusion ) there is a 3mm gap between the nozzle and the print-bed. Thats a pretty significant skew and I have determined its NOT the print-bed using a simple level. When I put the level on the x-axis arms, its out of alignment. Both of the smooth rods are fully pushed into the z-carriage assembly and the z-extrusion is level… what the heck else could this be?
I’m about to tear the printer to pieces and start over from page one of the assembly manual.

@turro75
That’s exactly what I was looking for. Not sure how I missed that article but I do appreciate your help!!
RE: X-axis alignment issue
A followup to this, I ended up tearing the printer all the way down and building from step one of the manual.
My issue ended up being resolved by carefully adjusting the tension of the 2 horizontal points where the Y and Z attach. Too tight and I had the wild skew on the outside of the bed. It took a while to figure this out, but now its perfect!
