Winter scaring error with alarm ... and its workaround

Hello,

Last time I power up my -- marvelous-- Prusa Mini+, it warn me with a big 'MINITEMP' red error ( and sound alarm) , with a QR code pointing to complex diagnostic for checking the hotend heating ...
Even a couple of restart do not solve this ...

In fact, the mini is installed in my garage... and with winter garage start to be cold... 10 degC.
This used to NOT be an issue, as I just use the pre-heat function before inital print AND the mini is installed within an enclosure. In a few minute ( 2/3), the heat of the bed is enaugh to get the enclosure at 18-22deg usually... but not this time... as error prevent the heating.

So the workaround is ... just heat the enclosure for less than one minute with a small fan heater. Probably a hair dryer would also do the job.... and problem is solved 🙂

Hope that help other....
Fr.

PS to developper:
It seems to me a bit abusive to consider that if hotend temp is lower than 15deg then its defective. If the hotend temp is coherent with the bed temp, than maybe this is just ... normal.
A enhancement may be to allow 10s heat of hotend whatever start temp, and check the elevation of the temp, not the absolute value.
A information/warning (not an red error) if at startup bed and hotend temp is below 15deg would help. Maybe pre-heat may be advised to help the end user ...
my 1/2 cent.

No, it reports the error because at low temperatures many prints warp due to rapid cooling.

Cheerio,
