Save mesh in EEPROM and use it before each print ?

Hello,

I really don't see the point of launching a mesh before each print.

Would it be possible to save the mesh once and for all in the eeprom and load it before each print?

I run the latest fw on a mini+

Thanks

You can bump all you want.  This is a user to user forum.  If you have a question for the Dev's then it needs to be made at the appropriate Prusa github.  The one for the Mini (Buddy board) is located here https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-Buddy/issues

Given that you cant even save calibration stuff to eeprom in the traditional manner then there might be issues doing that in the first place.  Open an issue with the feature request on the github.

So it's not possible to save the mesh in the eeprom then use it on a further print ?

That's really strange that I am the only one who is asking this question (I searched online but couldn't find anything about it)

Its my understanding that the buddy based board do not have eeprom storage enabled.  There are various posts/issues on the github around subjects relating to eeprom use,  such as saving extrusion steps per mm when using a different extruder for example where you cant so have to include the values in the start gcode block in the slicer.

Then there is this post on the github https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-Buddy/issues/3556 where the OP wants to use the G29 S command to read back the mesh data.  It mentions the EEPROM not being available to save data but the whole command to read back isn't implemented either in the firmware.  While that specific post is about the MK4 the Mini/Mk4/XL all use a common code base as they all use variants of the Buddy board.

There is also this closed issue https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-Buddy/issues/364   for example.
