Repeatedly flashing screen and "knocking" sound while motors are moving
Hi all. I bought a Prusa Mini+ from a coworker, brought it home, and did hours of prints with no issues. I then connected the printer to prusalink and prusaconnect, uploaded a sliced file through prusaslicer, and suddenly this flashing began which continues no matter what I do as long as the printer is on. Even scarier, while the motors are moving, they make a knocking noise exactly when the flashes occur. I have tried downgrading firmware, factory resetting- the works. Nothing has fixed it. But when I brought the printer home, it was not doing this!

Wow. I've been struggling trying to figure out why all three of my axes are suddenly making this terrible "knocking" sound during self test, but this description nails it--I had not noticed that the sound is in sync with the flashing screen! That is exactly was is happening!
So, I'm really invested in the answer to this: What could be causing this knocking sound in sync with the flashing screen?
Elsewhere, when I have seen mention of the flashing screen (which was introduced with FW version 5 or 6, I believe), it is said to be an issue with clones. But I don't have a clone. I don't even know what Fystec is! I will try to learn more about that, and post in the appropriate place if needed.
