for me it is exactly the same, flashing and installation was ok but I only get WiFi connection when I remove my USB stick but then of course I am not able to send any file to my printer.

Is it a USB3 stick? As I already mentioned, USB3 can make problems with 2,4GHz networks as it is used by the ESP module. What you should test: Check if it gets better when you use some aluminium foil around your USB stick. Or better: Try a USB cable as an extension and wrap the cable and the stick in aluminium foil. If it's getting better, then you know what to do: Take a cable and increase the distance of your stick to your esp module.
I have no problems, but I'm using a USB2 stick and a cable to be able to insert the stick right next to the display.

I installed a replacement module today from the same supplier and now it is working. Seems that the previous one had some kind of defect.

I have a same problem from 4.4.0 to 4.4.1 I try a lot of different USB drives before i see some with led on it. And I saw that flashing on start. That drive start to work later then that error message appered. So I try to put there microSD reader with some old micro SD card and voila works like a charm. It looks like there is some bug on 4.4.0 and booting from USB drive with (FAT32,exFAT) Not sure why but that microSD solved my problem. I hope this help to another people cya around

I was able to get my firmware and bootloader to update successfully after I reformatted my USB to FAT32. I had both the Firmware and bootloader update on the flash drive and it updated fairly quickly.

Hello!
I have the latest (brandnew) Prusa Mini + with the latest firmware (4.4.1).
I plugged the "Wi-Fi adapter ESP-01S for MINI+" like in the description.
When I want to update the WIFI Module I get the error "Firmware Flashenfehlgeschlagen!" on the screen 0/3.
What does this mean? Is the Module brolen? Is it not mounted correctly? Is there another problem?
Any help apreciated.

I have an issue i haven't found in the comments so far. My mini+ wifi setup has been working flawlessly for months, but all of a sudden the IP shows up as 0.0.0.0 I have tried reloading the credentials, resetting to factory settings and the reloading. I do have the latest firmware 4.4.1. I says that it is connected on the printer, but still no IP. When i look on my router, i am able to find and IP associated with the printers MAC address, but even using this i still can't connect. I have tried the web interface and via purse slicer.
Any suggestions?

Having exactly the same issue. Everything worked for a few month and now no connection at all. Have already tried cutting power, many restarts, etc.

Did you create the ini-file correctly? It is important to use the right syntax. I think, if I remember it correctly, there are no brackets allowed.
Did you follow the manual? Can you show a picture of the esp installation and the module itself?

Did you change something in your router or wifi?
Did you change the eso module or has it "enough" contact to the board? Are there any modifications that lead to a short or something?
My Mini is not used quite often right now so it runs 1 day every 2 weeks and i had no such experience up to now.

I haven't changed anything in the setup, but we have had a couple of power outages due to storms, so for whatever reason it has been reassigned a new IP, and all of a sudden it showed up again on the display. Its all working again, but to be honest i don't know how😂

I installed the unit on my Prusa Mini with 4.4.1 firmware which I reflashed even. I picked up the DIYMall ESP unit on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O34AGSU?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I don't even get past step 0 of 3 for flashing for the Prusa. I opened it back up to see if everything was connected, and it looks like it is.
Is the only possibility that it is a bad ESP unit? Anything else I can check before ordering another?

Never mind, I unplugged and plugged it back in and it worked, maybe a bit of corroson on the pin sockets...

I'm stuck on this. Everything is fine until STEP 22 to connect in PrusaLink - IP address does not open in browser. I have done this before with my actual inkjet printer, so I don't know what I am missing. Also IP address looks odd. XX.0.0.XX is that supposed to be it?

Hi. I just got a new Mini+ and installed the ESP module. I went through the WiFi setup. It says that the flash update worked. I have edited the printer config file to reflect my 2.4g network and password. I am now on "Success! Please wait until the connection is established." It never is. Other 2.4G devices have no issue connecting to the network. I have confirmed that the SSIS and Pwd are correct.
Next steps?

I'm at step 18 of installing the wifi module into my Mini+, but my wifi network is being troublesome. I'm at school, so the wifi isn't just a password, I also need a username. In the settings.ini notepad where I enter the password, is there any way to add a line for my username in the wifi? If not, how would I obtain the MAC address of my printer? Thanks in advance for any help.

I was stuck with the same issue since the Wifi update has been release.
I thought my ESP module was bad and planned to wait my next Prusa filament order a new one from Prusa at the same time. And ...
... I made two changes at the same time:
New Internet provider + Update 5.1.0 alpha IS
so I don't know which one fix the issue, but everything works fine now 😆 (and no new to replace the ESP)

Someone using WiFi without problems? Because for me it is pain. Many times cant upload small models, it start uploading and then stop, or simply printer is not reachable from start. I have tryed for test other positions, but it is not problem with signal, printer is still connected to router, as can see directly on router, on printer too. I can tell, that without WiFi it is better, beucase I know, that I must go to printer and dont waste time with trying to using WiFi 🙁
