mini+ x-axis test failed

Video

Mini+
Firmware 4.3.1

This machine was assembled less than a week ago, and it passed the tests. I printed a beautiful Benchy, but four days ago, I found the x-axis struggling. I disassembled only the x-axis, lubricated everything, and put it back together. Now, it is failing only the x-axis test (though it seems to refuse to run any other axis tests until it passes the x-axis). Some notes:

  • When turned off, I can slide the x-axis back and forth. It does seem to get a little stuck when moving towards the very far end.
  • If you look at the video above, you can hear a slight click right after I hit the button, as the motor just starts moving towards the right.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

RE: mini+ x-axis test failed

the x belt is too loose, tight it then retry.

Be careful as tightening the x belt may change the carriage angle against the print bed.

I have tried tightening, loosening, etc. while keeping aware of the carriage angle. It, unfortunately, has not fixed the x-axis test failure.

@jina

In menu configuration -> move axis, Do you get move all axis independently? If yes, then verify whether the X-axis get over 0 to 180 (The important here is that total length is equals to 180, the same which others axis). About the slight click, try verify the source. It's seem to me that source is in Y-axis. About the stuck, in my mini + happen the same. The tension of the wires cause this. In my case, works perfectly.

I don't know how the test is run it in system, but apparently depend the X and Y axis to get reference to start the test, if this true, then verify y-axis too. The problem is that some sensor doesn't work, we need find out which is. Can be some wire or bad contact. Worst case is if the problem is in motor x-axis sensor, but the tests above warranty that the motor sensor it fine.
