MINI Deteched PTFE Tube

Hey All

Has anyone come across the long PTFE tube on the MINI breaking?

I had a print going, and when I checked on it, the nozzle was in the air, and there was a couple of meters of filament on the floor. What has happened is the nozzle plugged, then instead of slipping, the extruder kept pushing filament out, eventually causing the PTFE tube to pop out of the extruder end, leaving the brass bit in the extruder.

Is there any way to fix the tube, or do I need to order a new one?

Thanks

Just try reassembling it, there are spare olives in the spares kit.

The replacement part is cheap enough if you are ordering from Prusa to get a spare.

Hey @chillygeo

I assume by "olives" you mean the little brass ring (the part that popped off). There are two in the little spares baggie that came with the MINI.

They slip onto the PTFE tube easily enough - their inside diameter is large enough - which means they don't stay put. Do I crimp them down somehow? How do I do that?

Thanks
