Measured temp not matching

Hi

I've had my Mini since December last year and all was fine until a couple of days ago. All of a sudden its not a happy bunny, saying "Measured temperature is not matching expected value. Check the thermistor in contact with the hotend. In case of damage, replace it."

Seeing as I have hardly touched the hotend, I would presume the thermistor is damaged.  I have run the self-test and that seemed ok.

I have to say I am not relishing having to dismantle the print head, but if needs must...

Other than part failures there are a few other possible causes, eliminate them first.

Is your printer in a draft - by a window or door that is not usually open..?

Have you recently turned on air conditioning?

and check that all the plugs and connectors are clean and properly inserted - pull and reseat them all in case some resistant corrosion is interfering with the sensor currents.

If these don't help then, yes, it's time to break out the toolkit.

Cheerio,

Solved it! Thanks to a long chat with tech support, it turned out that the thermistor had simply moved a bit. No new parts required.
