Main PTFE Tube Brass fitting on the Plastic Extruder Assembly
Hello, I removed the brass fitting that is screwed into the plastic extruder assembly that connects to the main PTFE tube in order to remove a broken piece of filament. I'm not sure if there is supposed to be a short length of PTFE tube inside of the extruder assembly that slips into the fitting. It appears that the fitting is already installed at the factory so there is no assembly literature on it (and I now realize that it's not supposed to be removed). After I had put the fitting back, I found this short length of PTFE tube - I don't know if it had fallen out of the extruder assembly when I removed the fitting, or if it was from another project that I was working on.

Yes, it's all documented at https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/how-to-replace-a-hotend-ptfe-tube-mini-mini_119449.

RE: Main PTFE Tube Brass fitting on the Plastic Extruder Assembly
Hello, I wasn't referring to the hot end of the main PTFE tube. I was referring to the other end of the main PTFE tube that attaches to the extruder. In particular, the fitting that screws into the extruder. Should there be a small PTFE tube inside of the extruder housing?

Sorry, missed that ☹️ Yes, there's a tiny piece of PTFE tube in the extruder as well. Don't know if and where it is referred to in the assembly instructions but you can see it in steps 14 and 15 of the Bondtech extruder manual: https://support.bondtech.se/Guide/01.%20Feeder%20Upgrade%20Kit/59.html (the only upgrade I recommend without any reservation).
