I have just implemented this (PC4-M8). Would someone test this?

Mini_Fil_Sens_PC4_M8

Works perfect with my mini+, thank you.

That looks great! I only have some M6 and M10. Do you have a version for them? 🙂

@4753spinnie

If you still need it, I can make an M6 version available to you.

@karl-herbert

I am interested.  I am updating all of minis to this design this week.

That would be really nice, if that's possible 😉

I printed all week long and I am tired of the non-PC4 version from Prusa.  The PTFE tubing keeps coming off.

@cwbullet

I reworked the housing and have modeled the respective internal threads. One variant M8 and another M6 metric standard thread:

Mini_Fil_Sens_PC4

For those getting "Page not found" on the files linked in this thread, @karl-herbert has them posted here as well.

I don't like to Necro a long-dead thread, but does anyone have the STLs still? The post to the forum is gone, and I'm not finding anything through searching. Thanks!

Be careful when mounting the PC4 coupling. If necessary, first warm up the printed case 👍

RE: Filament sensor PTFE tube came off.

@karl-herbert since I face the same issue (small tube came loose of my filament sensor) and I saw your solution at https://www.printables.com/model/62833-prusa-mini-gehause-fur-filamentsensor :

So I just need to print your files, get a PC4 M6 oder M8 Fitting, and then a Capricorn or simular tube which is couple of cm long?

Since I don't understand that: How does the Capricorn tube "hold" in the PC4 M6 fitting?

RE:

@pmu - in general if you install PC4 connector on the device, then you can push PTFE tube in it.

Proper PC4 connectors have metal spring ring that it locks itself on the tube -  so they are constructed in such way that is that it is easy to push it in one direction and very hard to pull it back, that's why it stays in place.

Also you can just push the plastic part to unlock the blocking mechanism to release the tube. This comes from pneumatic systems designs.

Also it is good idea to prepare tube end to be slightly wider a bit so that incoming filament will not be blocked by the edges.

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.

RE: Filament sensor PTFE tube came off.

While I am now printing Karl's great Prusa Mini Gehäuse für Filamentsensor, I disassembled my existing original Prusa sensor housing.

Unfortunately everything fell off 🙁

Is there a picture or description somewhere what parts need to go where, so that I can assemble everything correctly using Karl's new housing?
