Filament not properly extruded

Hi, I'm having trouble with my ~5 month old Prusa MINI+.

I've been super impressed with the print quality so far. Now, I've had the printer sit idle for a few weeks and started to print some PLA and it looked like absolute trash:

I thought the filament may have drawn moisture from the air, so I dried it for a few hours and tried again. At first, it looked a lot better, but then as time went on, the print turned completely useless again and I had to cancel it.

Upon close inspection, it seems like the filament is not "pulled" in at the same rate that the extruder seems to move. My intuition would be to try to tighten it (I bought the pre-assembled one - if that's the way to go could someone link me a guide please?), however, when ejecting the filament it also has pretty heavy teeth marks on it, which would lead me to think that it's too tight (but then, too tight wouldn't explain it not extruding at the correct speed, right?)

Any help appreciated!
